MEADOW

Biography

Meadow is a sweet and gentle gal who had a rough start to life. She was kept in a small cage that wasn't cleaned enough, and she was overweight, which left her unable to groom herself properly. This resulted in her bottom becoming quite messy and she developed a really nasty and uncomfortable skin infection. As soon as we got her into care, she went right to the groomer's to have the dirty and matted fur shaved off, and then she was started on medication to treat the infection. She was sooo good for being given her meds and letting her foster put cream on the irritated skin - she's really such a good bunny. 

For the first little while, Meadow did not want to leave her xpen, but she was still having a great time in there. She'd do zoomies all along the perimeter and then do a big flop. She kept busy doing bunstruction on her cardboard house and playing with palm toys and chewing on her Oxbow timothy hut. She was given access to more space but she was a bit nervous and took a bit for her to learn that it was safe to explore new areas. She's very cautious with things she isn't sure about and patience goes a long way with her. Patience and pets - she loves pets! She loves full body pets, head rubs, cheek rubs, ear rubs, so any of those things will help win her over. 

Meadow would be a good candidate to bond to an outgoing boy bunny who wants a friend. She would do well with a bun who can help bring her out of her shell and give her lots of cuddles and kisses!
