Freckles has a lump on his chest that we ran a cytology for, which confirmed that it's just a benign lipoma. This lump is not causing Freckles any pain or discomfort and would not need to be removed unless it becomes an issue.Biography
Freckles came into care after being surrendered to a high-kill shelter and needing rescue placement. We don't know much about his past other than that he lived outside with other rabbits in the summer.
This is what Freckles' foster mom has to say about him: "Freckles is such a good boy. He’s a great hay eater and has perfect litter box habits. He’s shown no interest in destroying any furniture, but loves a good chew toy. He has become so brave in the time he’s been with us, but is still very shy and still learning to trust humans. He is very gentle but will let you know when he isn’t pleased by letting out a little grunt or a thump. He would probably do well in a home that can show him patience. Freckles once lived with other rabbits, so he would likely love a rabbit friend to teach him confidence."
Freckles has been neutered and vaccinated and is ready to find his forever home! He would benefit from being bonded with a lonely girl bunny who can help bring him out of his shell.
