Medical Issues

Falafel occasionally snores and breathes loudly which are lasting effects from a stubborn upper respiratory infection. He was on antibiotics for months and had many diagnostics done to rule out any serious issues, and he was seen by the specialists at 404. His upper respiratory symptoms will sometimes flare up and he’ll need a round of antibiotics, but some of the symptoms are “normal” for him and no cause for concern. Any interested adopters can email info@pumpkinsacres.ca if they want more information on Falafel’s medical history.

Biography

Falafel and his brother Lentil were saved from euthanasia in the nick of time. They were at a shelter that was at capacity and were set to be euthanized due to lack of space if they didn't find placement with a rescue.
When Falafel arrived into foster care, he was very nervous and spent most of his time hiding. He was afraid of humans and needed a lot of socializing to help him gain some confidence. His foster mom has done an amazing job with him, and since being in our care, he's transformed into a totally different bunny! He quickly discovered how much he loves to binky and zoom around - mostly first thing in the morning and then again before bed. The rest of the day he likes to stretch out his leggies and relax in his favourite nap spots. When his foster mom is upstairs he patiently waits for her at the bottom of the stairs, and he'll hang out with her if she gets down on the floor with him. At first he only accepted gentle head pets, but over time he's realized how nice full body pets feel, and he even likes being kissed on the nose! He also likes the resident cat in his foster home and will follow her around everywhere.

We'd love for Falafel to find a home where he can have a bunwife, or a human who works from home and can spend lots of time with him. He can still be nervous at times so he'd likely bond well with a neutral/more outgoing spayed and lonely female. He's extremely well behaved with no destructive tendencies so he'd make a great free roam bunny.
